Colman Domingo’s first starring role on television
Narrative
Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder in the Poconos..
As a fan of boozy murder miniseries, I was hooked on the concept
The show had an interesting premise and a lot of initial promise, but it got lost along the way .
However, it seemed that it was originally written as a multi-season show, but was condensed into an eight-episode miniseries
The result was an over-saturated story with numerous subplots and undeveloped characters that are only loosely connected to the main plot.
Each subplot had potential but was cut short, leaving the story empty and confusing
It looked like all the right ingredients for a 5-star dish were there, but the chef ran out of time and just threw it all together and served it.
The ending was especially disappointing – not frankly bad, just disappointingly bland
She did not release any strong emotions, neither good nor bad, because there was little to touch.
